Persistent identifiers connect to one another in a magnitude of ways across multiple platforms throughout the research lifecycle. Each type of PID can be connected to other PIDs through interoperable metadata schemas, allowing for linking from researcher to funds, to institutions, to outputs (i.e. data or publications).
