Sign language interpreting services for NOAA's Deaf and hard of hearing employees is available through NOAA Human Capital Services' Sign Language Interpreting Services Program. If you would like for us to request an ASL interpreter in person or via webcam for an upcoming webinar, please let us know at least 5 days in advance. You are free to request these services on your own through the link below:
GoToWebinar is one of the webinar platforms used by the NOAA Library. Our access to this platform allows for 1,000 attendees to our live seminars with audio options of either phone or Voice Over IP (VOIP, ie. computer audio). Registration is required of all seminars and the email entered will receive a confirmation email with a personal join link.
You must download a temporary application to your desktop to run the webinar (there is an option to join through your browser, see above). You can download and test this process in advance by following the steps here: https://support.goto.com/webinar/help/download-now-g2w010002
Technical Issues
If YouTube does not fit your needs and you need an accessible version of our recordings please email us at library.seminars@noaa.gov for a downloadable mp4. This recording can then be used on an accessible video player, like iTunes, Windows Media Player, QuickTime, and VLC.

Deaf Access Solutions (DAS) is a live closed captioning service that runs in a separate browser window than the event webinar and is available for presentations by request at least 5 days in advance (email library.seminars@noaa.gov). If requested a link will be available in the presentation calendar event, email, and the webinar chat at the start of the event webinar. For any presentation that has used DAS services, the transcript will be made available on request via email. If a presentation does not have DAS services, it will still be captioned using automatic captioning via our YouTube channel.
