The NOAA Library is excited to announce the last phase of our library website updates: renaming our catalog search DISCOVER (formerly known as Primo).
You may notice a new icon, spelling out “Discover” next to the homepage search bar and when using the Resources dropdown you find “Discover Search”. This change reflects what the Library hopes our patrons use the search tool for - discovering all the available books, journals, database holdings, and physical collection material.
This simple name change is just the outward manifestation of deeper changes that will be made to the whole search platform later this year (November 2025) to make the discovery of library e-books, e-journals, digitized material and database holdings easier, faster, and seamless through an upgraded user interface.
